Average price over the last 200 days. If price is above, the trend is good.
Explanation
Simple Moving Average over 200 sessions. Long-term trend indicator. Price > SMA200 = bull trend.
Technical detail
A crash below the SMA200 is one of the three bear-regime triggers (alongside VIX and credit spread). When the regime is bear, the risk multiplier is pinned at 0.70.
